On Facebook use a first and last name. On the rest you will choose a user name. Be consistent in the user name that you choose, if available. Also be consistenet in the avatar image that you use.
Each site allows for the input off personal/profile/bio information. Make the most of it. Refer to your story and use what facts you can to represent who you are and to attract like minded or similarly experienced people.
Link Twitter to Facebook. Then link all the rest to each other. Please see my Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, MySpace and Ning pages as an example.

#3 Your Story
Write about yourself. Who are you? What do you like? What do you dislike? What makes you special or different from other people? Where have you worked, gone to school? What are your hobbies? What is your profession, your field(s) of expertise? What makes you the same as other people? How old are you? Where are you from? Etcetera. Describe yourself in everyway you can imagine.
By letting people get to know you, some will be attracted and some won't be. Those that are attracted are attracted because there,is something about your story, your life, that they can relate to.
When people can identify with you they want to connect, listen, network, believe...
You will draw from your story when you write your "bio", "profile" and "AboutMe" sections on various sites.

Little overwhelming? Take a step back and a deep breath. You will be making videos in the near future with just as much enthusiasm and sincerity and charisma. Yes, you!

You will document your activities in an online journal (aka a blog). Visit Blogger.com and set up a free blog. Please watch this video before you start.
Once your blog is set up. Make a post about what you will be doing for the next 28 days and why. If you can post a picture of yourself in your workspace, diligently at work, all the better.
You will be making a post daily about what you are doing and how you are doing and feeling about everything.

#1 Commitment
So, you want to use internet to generate income? And you are willing to work to make it happen? Great. It might take 3 months, it might take 3 years but if you are persistent and either coachable or self-driven you can succeed.
1. Commit to a time to work.
2. Commit to a place to work.
This is what I did. It worked for me. I committed to work at my computer or in my hard bound notebook in my bedroom or on the roofdeck daily for 8 to 10 hours.
Commit at least 2 hours a day. Have a place dedicated to the work and nothing else.

The 28 Day Challenge April 2009
It has been quite a while, but destiny calls--and I'm all ears.
Someone told me:
My task, as I see it, is to map out a series of steps which will result in a foundation from which an overall desireable income can be extracted in a predictable and reliable fashion month after month after month...as long as people are buying online.
Well actually THAT task has been done, exceedingly well, ALREADY...by many with more knowledge and experience than myself. Some give away information just for the price of being on their mailing list, others sell it.
HOWEVER...!!!
IF YOU DO NOT ALREADY HAVE a SIGNIFICANT social web network then buying this or that for $19.99 or $39.99 or WHATEVER...is PREMATURE...in my humble opinion.
The point of this "April Challenge" is to establish a presence on Internet and a web of relationships upon which YOU can build and to whom you can market (initially) INDIRECTLY...and SUCCESSFULLY because of the RELATIONSHIPS you will have established.
Keep track of how much time you spend on the challenge daily.
After this 28 days you'll calculate how much time on average you spent. (Total Hours divided by 28 Days)
The essence of the foundation will be:
After you have done this groundwork (The 28 Day Challenge April 2009) I hope that you continue your self-directed education and that you continue to hone, modify and adapt your Faily Dailies Part 1 and Daily Dailies Part 2
